Parkinson’s Disease Research @ RSI
Analyzed Parkinson’s single-nucleus RNA sequencing data for biological insight; designed pipelines for cell type annotation, differential gene expression, gene set enrichment analysis; identified dysregulated genes and biological pathways underlying Parkinson’s disease such as the AQP4 gene; mentored by Dr. Sumaiya Nazeen from Harvard Medical School.

PoseTrack App Development
Developed a posture-monitoring system to address chronic back pains and promote healthier habits by detecting poor posture and providing real-time warnings. Integrated Raspberry Pi camera for media input, developed a posture analysis engine in Python by analyzing MediaPipe Pose Landmarks, and used a Flask server to transmit analysis results to a Dart-based app via HTTP requests.

Recommendation System for Parkinson’s Rehabilitation
Developed a recommendation system to support Parkinson’s patient rehabilitation by integrating patient history and lifestyle data with environmental factors (air pollution, humidity, temperature) to provide personalized health advice; used OpenWeather API and Google Earth Engine to collect environmental indices (NDVI, NDWI, NDBI, air quality, geomagnetic stability, etc); Designed a rule based engine to interpret environmental data and incorporated Gemini AI to convert suggestions into plain language daily lifestyle recommendations.
